In this year's summer issue, Joanna Gaines shares fresh summer limeade recipes that sounded so delightful I literally ran to the grocery to stock up on limes.
I saw the title "Strawberry Cucumber Limeade" and my mouth started watering. I had to try it out - and add my own little twist.
Here's what you need to make a Strawberry Cucumber Limeade Cocktail:
These measurements make 2 cocktails with a little extra Hard Seltzer Limeade leftover.
1/2 cup Homemade Simple Syrup (it's easy, I promise)
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
2 12oz cans of Original Ranch Water Hard Seltzer
6 fresh strawberries (plus a few extra for garnish)
1 cucumber
How to make it:
Combine the fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and Ranch Water into a pitcher, set aside
Muddle 3 strawberries and 3 thick cucumber slices in a glass
Add about a cup of the limeade in your pitcher to the muddled mixture in the glass and stir to combine
Strain the muddled mixture over a fresh glass
Top with ice & garnish with a fresh strawberry or cucumber slice
Serve!
Repeat this process for a second glass or double up on the muddled mixture if you want to knock out both glasses in one sweep.
The end result is a smooth, citrusy, fresh cocktail perfect for summer.
