My love for podcasts began with humor-filled segments that provided nothing more than a simple escape from tasks that required little brain power (i.e. crunching numbers in Excel spreadsheets or getting ready in the morning). As more and more podcasts were released I found new ways to be entertained, become inspired, and much more. Here are some of my favorites.
THE CONFIDENCE PROJECT with Christina Montalvo
"It's not the food, it's how you feel about the food." - Christina put into words what I have been struggling my whole life to understand. The Confidence Project talks all thing confidence, not just in body image but in business and overall worth as a human. Her potty mouth and raspy laugh are an added bonus.
SERIAL KILLERS by the Parcast Network
I find these stories wildly fascinating. Yes, they can be intense and gory at times but learning about the upbringing and series of events leading up to the path of a serial killer's story is mildly addicting. Never mind how concerning it is that there are so many episodes...
I also love the 'Cults' podcast built by the same team that created the Serial Killers podcast.
EXTREME PRODUCTIVITY with Kevin Kruse
On the other end of the spectrum, I enjoy listening to the stories of entrepreneurs and building success. As a chronic procrastinator I can always use a good productivity hack. I like this podcast because it is short, sweet, and to the point with most episodes around 10 minutes long.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
My current addiction continues to change depending on my mood, the time of day, and/or where I am in life! Here are a few podcasts I have enjoyed and finished, or tune in to every now and then:
Dirty John
The Goal Digger Podcast
Guys We F*****d
Rise Podcast with Rachel Hollis
Ghosts in the Burbs
Are you on the podcast train? Which genre is your favorite?
