A quick day trip can take you around the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway. Seventeen dollars can get you a two hour train ride exploring Nelsonville and the surrounding fall foliage. Adorable.
Collect natural, fall decor (gourds, pumpkins, corn husks), grab some delicious local goods (jams, pies, produce), and capture some killer Instagram pics in the sunflower field, pumpkin patch, or apple orchard.
Choose your own adventure: Murder-mystery parties, ghost hunts, comedy dinners, simply enjoy dinner and the scenery, or crash a wedding. A trip to Landoll's Mohican Castle makes for a quick secluded and romantic getaway. Make a night of it and enjoy an evening in one of the castle's beautiful rooms.
With so many trails to choose from, you can spend a few hours or an entire day exploring the Hills. Waterfalls and copious amounts of fall leaves make for the perfect fall getaway. Stop at the Hocking Hills winery after your hike for a glass of vino and/or a wine slushie.
